this was our first excursion in provence. we visited les baux and the cathedrale des images for an exhibit on cezanne. the venue is an old bauxite quarry that is now used as a projection palace, and it truly felt as though one entered into a cezanne painting. afterwards we spent a little free time in town. i have also added some pictures of the french classes, and the grounds where we are staying. feel free to download these images. more to come!

Today is our first full day in Provence!
The students arrived yesterday, one of the smoothest arrivals we have ever had, and are getting along so well. Yesterday they all played marco polo in the pool, it was so sweet to watch. Everyone seems to be very comfortable in their rooms and with the food as well.
Today they are being put into groups for their language classes, then will participate in a group workshop for theater, then go on a group walk to survey the grounds.
